Testudo has built the standalone generative AI third-party liability insurance for U.S. companies. Underwriting a brand-new class of risk means there is no playbook to copy. The policy is live, written on Lloyd's of London paper, anddistributed as excess and surplus lines in the United States, subject to underwriting and not available in all states. It pays out across six insuring agreements: generative AI errors, IP infringement and personal injury, unauthorized data disclosure, bodily injury, property damage, and AI regulatory violation, with a $2M sub-limit per insuring agreement and a $10M aggregate limit, on capacity that AM Best rates [A+ (Superior)](https://web.ambest.com/docs/default-source/ratings/lloydsrating.pdf). At the center of it is our AI Risk Engine, which reads AI litigation as it happens and turns it into the signals our underwriting and actuarial work runs on. No invasive integration is needed to gauge a company's exposure. We sell through appointed brokers, and a submission gets an indication back inside 48 hours. The team is small and AI-native, which means the people building the models, the policy, and the platform sit close together and ship together. Depending on where you land, you might shape an insuring agreement with our General Counsel, train the models behind the Risk Engine, or build the broker-facing platform that puts a quote in front of an underwriter within 48 hours. We are live in the U.S. now and extending into the EU, Canada, and Singapore next, so the work you take on early will set the pattern for everything that follows. On the insurance side, that means underwriting, actuarial, and the people who draft and price coverage for a risk that did not have a policy a year ago. On the technical side, it means machine learning and applied AI for the Risk Engine, plus enterprise and full-stack engineering for the platform our brokers use.
